AI where it helps. Human expertise where it matters.

For intelligent, affordable storytelling.

AI can speed up content creation, but it can't replace experience, strategy or good judgement.

Many businesses are turning to AI to create content more quickly and cost-effectively. Used well, it can be a powerful tool for generating ideas, overcoming writer’s block and speeding up the writing process.

But AI isn’t a replacement for experience. It can’t fully understand your business, question inaccurate information or write with the insight, judgement and personality that builds trust with your audience.

That’s where I come in.

With almost three decades of marketing experience and nearly 15 years as a freelance copywriter, I use AI selectively to support the writing process where it genuinely adds value.

Whether you need AI-generated content refined and fact-checked, or want to combine the efficiency of AI with the expertise of an experienced copywriter, I’ll make sure every piece is accurate, engaging and unmistakably yours.

And if you’d rather your content be written entirely by a human, that’s absolutely fine too.

My AI-freelance copywriting services

AI-assisted blog writing

Regular blogging can be time-consuming. By combining AI with human expertise, I create well-researched, engaging blogs that answer your customers’ questions, demonstrate your expertise and support your SEO strategy. Every article is edited, refined and tailored to your brand, so it reads naturally and provides genuine value.

AI-supported long-form content

Guides, pillar pages and in-depth articles require structure, research and attention to detail. AI can help accelerate the writing process, allowing me to spend more time refining your messaging, strengthening your arguments and ensuring every piece is accurate, engaging and optimised for search.

Website copywriting

Your website is often your first impression, so every word matters. AI can support research and content planning, but your messaging, tone of voice and customer journey are shaped through human insight to create copy that builds trust and encourages action.

AI search optimisation (AEO, GEO & LLMO)

More people are finding information through AI-powered search tools and answer engines rather than traditional search results. I create clear, authoritative content that’s structured to answer real questions, demonstrate expertise and increase your chances of being surfaced by AI search experiences as well as conventional search engines.

AI content editing

Already using AI to create content? I can transform rough AI drafts into polished, professional copy by improving clarity, checking facts, refining your tone of voice and removing the repetitive phrases and clichés that often make AI-generated content easy to spot.

When AI-assisted copywriting makes sense

AI-assisted copywriting isn’t the right choice for every project. But when used thoughtfully, it can be a smart way to create high-quality content more efficiently and cost-effectively.

AI-assisted copywriting may be a good fit if you:

For projects where tone of voice, strategy or nuanced messaging are particularly important, I may recommend a completely human approach instead. My priority is always finding the best solution for your business, not simply using AI because it’s available.

Great copy, without the big-agency price tag.

I believe in transparent pricing, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re paying before we start.

My standard rate is £50 per hour. Despite almost three decades in marketing and nearly 15 years as a freelance copywriter, that’s still below the UK average. I also offer discounted rates for agencies, retainers and copywriting support packs.

There are no hidden costs or unexpected invoices. The price we agree is the price you’ll pay.

Support Packs

Need flexible support without committing to a monthly retainer? Support packs give you a bank of hours to use whenever you need them over a six-month period. Pack start at 10 hours (£450).

Retainers

If you need regular copywriting support, a retainer gives you dedicated time in my schedule each month at a reduced hourly rate. Retainers start from eight hours per month (£360) and are ideal for businesses that need ongoing content, regular website updates or a reliable copywriting partner. Hours are invoiced in advance and are allocated to that month, so any unused time doesn’t roll over.

From plumbing parts to employment law, and quite a few things in between

One of the best things about being a freelance copywriter is that no two projects are ever the same. Over the years, I’ve worked with businesses across a huge range of industries, learning fast and asking the right questions to create content that feels authentic.

Here are some of the topics I have covered:

My clients

I’ve worked with businesses of all sizes, from ambitious start-ups to established brands, as well as marketing agencies, law firms and charities.

Here are a few of the organisations I’ve had the pleasure of working with:

Agency clients

As well as working directly with clients, I’ve contributed to content, branding and marketing projects for many well-known organisations throughout my agency career, including work on a sponsor account during the London 2012 Olympics.

What my clients say

Anyone can claim to be a great copywriter. The people I’ve worked with are in a much better position to judge.

Common questions

What is AI-assisted copywriting?

AI-assisted copywriting combines artificial intelligence with human expertise. AI can help generate ideas, structure content or create first drafts, while an experienced copywriter refines, fact-checks and edits the content to ensure it’s accurate, engaging and aligned with your brand.

The result is content that benefits from the efficiency of AI without sacrificing quality or authenticity.

It can be, but only if it’s used correctly.

Search engines reward helpful, original content that demonstrates experience and expertise, regardless of how it’s created. Poor-quality AI content that’s repetitive, inaccurate or written purely to target keywords is unlikely to perform well.

I combine AI with human editing, research and SEO expertise to create content that’s valuable to readers and designed to perform well in both traditional search engines and AI-powered search.

Not if it’s done properly.

One of the biggest drawbacks of AI-generated content is that it often sounds generic or repetitive. Every piece of content I produce is carefully edited to reflect your brand’s tone of voice, remove clichés and ensure it reads naturally.

The aim is for your content to sound like your business—not a chatbot.

No. I use AI selectively where it adds genuine value, such as generating ideas, speeding up research or helping with first drafts. With almost three decades of marketing experience and nearly 15 years as a freelance copywriter, I don’t rely on AI to create great content.

If you’d prefer your content to be written entirely by a human, I’m equally happy to work that way.

Yes. Many businesses already use AI tools such as ChatGPT but aren’t completely happy with the results. I can refine AI-generated content by improving the structure, checking the facts, strengthening the messaging, optimising it for search and making sure it reflects your brand’s personality.

It can be. Because AI can speed up certain stages of the writing process, it’s often possible to produce some types of content more efficiently. However, every project is different. The amount of human research, editing and strategic input required will influence the overall cost.

I’ll always recommend the approach that offers the best balance of quality, efficiency and value for your business.

AI isn’t the right choice for every project.

For brand messaging, homepage copy, thought leadership, highly technical content or anything that requires a strong personal voice, a completely human approach is often the better option.

If I don’t think AI is the right fit for your project, I’ll tell you. My priority is delivering the best possible content—not using AI for the sake of it.

Anyone can generate content using AI. The difference lies in knowing what to ask, recognising when the output is inaccurate and shaping it into something that genuinely reflects your business.

With almost three decades of marketing experience, I know when AI is adding value—and when it’s simply producing convincing-sounding nonsense. My role is to combine the speed of AI with the judgement, creativity and critical thinking that only an experienced copywriter can provide.
