Many law firms and legal businesses are turning to ChatGPT (and other AI tools) to help create their content on a budget. But AI-generated copy needs careful checking to make sure it is correct. I provide a specialist AI-editing service to refine, proof and personalise your ChatGPT content.
For many law firms and legal businesses, it’s simply not feasible to employ a permanent copywriter. But that doesn’t mean that high-quality writing support isn’t required.
By using me as your freelance legal copywriter, you’ll benefit from proven, trusted expertise and business writing of the highest standard.
My standard hourly rate is £50ph. Despite my legal experience, that is less than the national average*.
I also offer discounted rates to agencies and clients who sign up for a retainer or support pack.
All costs are quoted upfront and agreed before we start. And there will be no nasty surprises. The price I quote is the price you’ll pay.
My copywriting support packs provide you with a bank of time which can be purchased upfront (at a discounted rate) to use as and when you need it. Packs last for six months and start at 10hrs (£450).
My copywriting retainers are ideal for regular, predictable levels of work, with a set number of hours set aside for you each month. Time is non-transferable each month (use it or lose it!) and invoiced in advance. Offered at a discounted rate, retainers start from six hours a month (£270).
My rate is less than the national average for a UK freelance copywriter*. With further discounted packages available. Who doesn't like a bargain?

While solicitors are great at securing results for clients, many find it difficult to drop the “legalese” when it comes to writing.
It’s understandable. The legal world is bursting with acronyms and technical language that helps legal professionals to communicate with each other. But most people just don’t understand it. That’s where a legal copywriter can help.
Creating easy to read content that appeals to new and existing clients, I use all my skills to enhance your firm’s brand. Furthermore, as a former in-house legal marketing manager, I have a wealth of legal experience. So, my copy is not only engaging, but it’s also professionally written and factually correct.
Less than you might think. Despite my experience, my standard hourly rate is just £50ph. That’s less than the national average.

You need someone who can write and who understands the immense challenges faced by the legal profession and their legal marketing teams.
In my experience, most law firms don’t operate like ordinary businesses, so you need a copywriter who knows how solicitors and partners tick. Someone who isn’t a stranger to the dynamics of the modern law firm.
You also need someone that can turn legalese into easy to read content that appeals to new and existing clients. And be confident that it is carefully researched, well-written, and factually correct.
It’s this unique understanding that makes professional legal copywriters so effective, adding value to your law firm by increasing your visibility and – ultimately – your revenue.
Over the years I have worked as a legal copywriter for a number of law firms and legal providers. Both as a freelancer and as part of a wider marketing agency.
No! While some legal copywriters are keen to promote their legal qualifications, I’d counter than my 20+ years in marketing and many satisfied legal clients, demonstrate the value that I can add to your law firm or legal business. Plus, in my experience, any copywriter qualified with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) tends to charge more than I do, without any guarantee of a higher standard of work.
If anything, because I am not a lawyer, I know when legal language is unlikely to be understood by your clients, and I use my experience to turn complex, technical legal subjects into accessible copy.
And, having worked as a marketing manager within a law firm, I understand the immense challenges faced by the legal profession.
